Audi India continues to register impressive growth; sales increase by 66 percent in July 2010

  • Audi clocks record sale of 1626 cars (Jan – Jul 2010)
  • Growth of 70 percent over Jan – July 2009
  • Vehicle sales in July 2010 stood at 226 units

Mumbai: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, continued its excellent performance in India. The company recorded sales of 226 cars in July 2010, a 66 percent growth over July 2009 sales (136 units). This is the best sales performance for Audi in India for the Jan – Jul period: 1626 cars - just marginally short of the 2009 annual sales of 1658, a growth of 70 percent over the same period in 2009 (957 units, Jan – Jul 2009).

Audi promises to continue to bring latest cars from our highly energetic product line to India, beginning with the new Audi A8 which will be our next offering to the discerning Indian luxury car buyer”, said Michael Perschke, Head – Audi India.

The Audi model range in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. The entire Audi model range is available across the country: in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune. Further developments include Coimbatore, Indore, Lucknow, Mumbai South and Surat.
