Mumbai: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, in association with theIdeaWorks, successfully kicked off Audi-INDIA Future of Change contest with six campus interactions. The unique nationwide contests have already attracted over 850 registrations, from young professionals and students of the top business and design schools across the country. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Amit Shahi, CEO & Co - founder, theIdeaWorks officially launched the Business Strategy Contest at ISB Hyderabad on August 1, 2011 and the Automobile Design Contest at NID Ahmedabad on August 16, 2011.

At these six campus interactions, students were provided an opportunity to interact with Michael Perschke on the Audi-INDIA Future of Change and get all their queries on Indian luxury market, Indian automobile industry and the contest answered.
Audi - INDIA Future of Change aims to foster and reward creativity and innovation among engineering, design and management students and young professionals. The multi-disciplinary contests aim to encourage the participants to develop innovative ideas and solutions in Future Urban Mobility and Business Strategy. NID Ahmedabad and IMI, Delhi has come on board as knowledge partners for the Automobile design and Business strategy contests respectively.

INDIA Future of Change is a unique Brand India program launched by theIdeaWorks
last year and is supported by the Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. The program uses multiple contest platforms to engage students across the best campuses in the world with contemporary India. IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay, Financial Times, INSEAD, University of Reading, NID Ahmedabad, Stanford Design for Change Center and CIID, Copenhagen are amongst those who are partnering this global effort.
As Audi India is on an expansion spree and is planning to recruit more than 600 new talents along its value chain – corporate, production and retail level, it is also planning to build deeper routes with India’s students. The latest recruitment drive by Audi India has resulted in more than 4,000 applications in less than two weeks.
Audi India recorded an impressive 93 percent growth from January to September 2011 with sale of 4210 cars (2178 cars: January – September 2010). In September 2011, the company sold 555 cars, a growth of 84 percent over the same period last year (September 2010: 302 cars).
The Audi model range in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi RS5 Coupé, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder available across the country: in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai West, Pune and Surat. Further developments include Coimbatore, Delhi West, Indore, Lucknow, Mumbai South.
